Frequently asked questions

Zabuni is an online platform that lists tenders advertised in Tanzania from the public sector, the private sector and NGOs, together with awards, contracts and procurement plans, so you can find opportunities in one place.

You can read the home page, About us and FAQs without signing in. To browse tender lists and details, awards and contracts you need to create an account and have an active subscription.

Tenders, pre-qualification notices, NGO calls for proposals and procurement plans. Each has its own tab on the Tenders page.

On the Tenders page search by title, bid number or procuring entity, filter by category or procuring entity, and sort by the closing date. Tick "Closing in 7 days" to see what needs attention first.

Open any tender and use Download notice, or the Notice tab to read the document on the page.

Closing soon means the deadline is within 7 days. Closed means the deadline has passed and bids are no longer accepted. If an award has been recorded for a closed tender, it is shown on the tender page.

Use the Awards page to see awarded suppliers and values, and the Contracts page for signed contracts. You can filter both by category, procuring entity, supplier and year.

A procurement plan is published by a procuring entity and lists what it intends to buy during a financial year. Find them under Tenders → Procurement Plans.

Install the Zabuni mobile app from Google Play to receive notifications when new tenders are published.

You will be asked to choose a package before you can continue viewing tender information. Your remaining days are shown in your account menu.

Zabuni republishes notices from procuring entities. Always confirm the details and deadlines with the procuring entity before you submit a bid.
